Summer 2018 Optikz spent the majority of his time writing and recording a new song titled "So Long Goodbye". A song about the immense emotional pain of losing someone you are head over heels in love with. Drawing from his own personal experience he takes the listener on a journey with a unique angle to the standard love/break up story. Revealing the correlation between the childhood trauma of having an emotionally absent Mother and how that created a huge love deficit in his life and was the beginning of a pattern of love addiction, codependency and ultimately the reason behind why the loss he speaks of was so challenging to overcome. With all the vocals recorded he will be working on the pre production at Studio A in preparation for mixing at Metal Works Studios. He will also be recording hooks for two new songs he is working on.
