Optikz reaches major milestone with official Wikipedia page and national recognition for The Optikz EP. November 25, 2025, Guelph, Ontario independent Canadian hip-hop artist Optikz achieved a landmark moment in his career, as both his artist biography and debut studio extended play, The Optikz EP have been added to official Wikipedia listings.
Optikz now has his own dedicated Wikipedia page, documenting his 26-year musical journey, artistic evolution, and rise from the underground to national visibility. In addition, The Optikz EP has been added to the official “2025 in Canadian music” Wikipedia page, an annual, industry-recognized archive of major Canadian music releases.
This places Optikz alongside some of the country’s most prominent artists, including Justin Bieber, Tate McRae, Jessie Reyez, Virginia to Vegas, PartyNextDoor, and Drake—a rare and remarkable achievement for an independent artist releasing music without major-label backing.
“As someone who’s fought through years of mental, emotional, and physical health challenges, addictions, setbacks, and rebuilding, seeing my name included among the artists shaping Canadian music means more than I can put into words,” says Optikz. “This is a milestone I never imagined I’d reach.” Check it out here. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2025_in_Canadian_music
